Many wedding venues try and tell the happy couple-to-be what they want, or even what they need, for their ceremony. And if you’re like most people, you prefer to have control over your own wedding, thank you very much.

Riverview Greens, a local family owned and operated golf course, understands that you should have the ceremony that you’ve always wanted. As a result, they offer a classic country club wedding experience without becoming smothering.

The more relaxed stance on “prepackaged” ceremony needs is refreshing, especially for those parties that have specific ideas in mind. Whether you need them to take over, or you prefer to call the shots, they offer a great deal of flexibility.

This local course is a lovely backdrop. In addition to the well-manicured golf areas, there are also a variety of ponds, and the ceremony site features a stunning outdoor space for you and your guests.

The interior areas are perfect for the wedding reception, removing the need to travel across town to a separate venue. It is here that the special event team truly outdoes themselves with classic design elements and modern lighting to offset it.

This venue strives to offer the most “stress-free” of ceremonies possible, and it’s easy to see how they succeed in those efforts. There are ample opportunities for couple’s photos, as well as creating a self-contained, all-day event if needed.

The onsite restaurant is prepared to offer wedding catering services. If you prefer to bring in an outside vendor, the facilities allow for that as well.

The banquet rooms are genuinely where this venue shines, however, with two bars and included dancefloor. Located on the upper floor of the clubhouse, this 2,000-square foot space with seating for up to 500 guests, plus an additional 80 seats on the balcony.

From the second floor, the party is treated to views inside and out. The tall ceilings make the 35-foot-tall lighted fountain displays impressive, while the windows provide unobscured 180-degree views of the golf course below.

Equipment needs are taken care of by the clubhouse as well, reducing the need for price shopping outside rental services. In addition to lighting and sound equipment, they have an in-house DJ system as well.

The Fairway Room takes elegance to the next level, however. A tall, 30-foot white spruce open beam ceiling is offset by stunning 40-inch chandeliers, creating a storybook look and feel.
