Settlement Hill Farm is a stunning site for an outdoor or barn wedding and reception, and it is one of the few remaining farmsteads established by the original German settlers to the Hudson, Wisconsin area around 1853.

Imagine for a moment a rustic German barn with an interior that features an exposed, wooden gambrel-beamed ceiling. Picture your string lights and draped fabrics and linens adorning the walls.  Doesn’t that draw a pretty image in your head?  Make the image you picture a reality with a barn wedding.

The lower level of the barn services up to 300 guests for dinner and a cocktail hour. The upper level makes a beautiful ceremony location.  Turn up the music and ask the DJ to hit it as you dance on the upper-level dance floor to your favorite tunes.

If the fresh air boosts your spirits more than the low-light ambiance of the barn, host your wedding outdoors at one of the two sites on the grounds of Settlement Hill Farm. Let your guests spread out and relax as they enjoy watching the joining of two loved ones together.

Before the ceremony begins, the bride and her party can prepare and primp in the on-site bridal suite.  The suite, which is set up in studio apartment style, allows the wedding party full access to necessities such as a bathroom, kitchen sink, and dressing room to get ready for the big day.

The day before or the day of the ceremony, take a stroll around the grounds for your wedding photo shoot.  Let the gentle blowing wind catch your wedding veil and capture gorgeous photos backdropped by the gently rolling hills on which Settlement Hill Farm sits.
