Historic John P. Furber Farm

Historic John P. Furber Farm

Located in the rolling hills outside of the Twin Cities, the Historic John P. Furber Farm and barn is a remarkable sight. The white clapboard barn was built in a Gothic Revival style that is seldom seen today. The architecture on both the interior and the exterior are awe-inspiring. Settled around the 1840’s, Old Cottage Grove is a quaint town that harkens back to an era of time gone by, with the convenience of a large city at hand.

Surrounding the Historic John P. Furber Farm is rolling hills, lush green pastures, and beautiful deciduous trees. Since being on the Historical Registry, the Historic John P. Furber Farm has been renovated with updated, modern amenities. Amenities include air conditioning and heating so that guests can be comfortable at your event no matter the season. The barn has been fully equipped with electricity, and boasts beautiful lighting and chandeliers to set a romantic mood, perfect for an elegant wedding! Outside the barn is a beautiful split staircase, an excellent spot for photographs of the bridal party and groomsmen.

The 8,000-square foot barn can comfortably seat up to 500 guests. Large changing rooms are available for both the bridal party and the groomsmen to primp and prepare for the day. Additionally, tables and chairs are included and on site for your guests to enjoy the ceremony and reception.

The grounds at the Historic John P. Furber Farm is exquisite. Lush green grass and rolling hills provide a stunning backdrop for your beautiful day. You can choose to host a ceremony outside under the wide blue Minnesota sky, and then move your guests into the barn for the reception. The possibilities are endless!
