  • Seven Words That Desribe Me:

Adventurous, Thoughtful, Kind, Geeky, Funny, Fearless, Adaptive

  • Best Advice I Ever Received:

When you consider the size of the alphabet, plan B suddenly doesn’t seem so bad.

  • Hobbies:

My wife and I love to travel, and we always try to find new adventures to go on together. I continue my love of creating mix cds and playlists for friends and family. I love watching movies, reading about them, and writing about them. When I have a day off, you can usually find me walking my dog while listening to audiobooks or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen.

  • Something No One Would Guess By Looking At Me:

I spent a summer as a wild west gunfighter in Colorado ... and got blasted by extra powder from a shotgun on my 3rd day.

  • Favorite Music Artists:

Lizzo, Janelle Monae, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Kesha, Leon Bridges, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, Avicii, Chris Stapleton, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Outkast, The Roots, Greta Van Fleet, Live, Cake, the Decemberists, Violent Femmes, Fitz and the Tantrums, Sam Cooke, Earth Wind & Fire, Alabama, Girl Talk, Johnny Cash, Postmodern Jukebox, Classic Rock, Disney music, 90s and early 2000s pop and hip-hop

  • Genre Preferences / Specialties:

I love variety. I love it when I get to play 90s hip-hop and R&B one night, country and rock & roll the next weekend, and then crank the top 40 and EDM the next. My favorite nights are when I get to mix all the genres and get people dancing to music they never thought they would. Whatever your favorite music is, I can't wait to play it for you!

  • My Relationship with Music:

At the age of 3, I awoke from a nap in my car seat singing "Old Time Rock and Roll" and I'm told it was awesome. I have loved music as long as I can remember. As a kid, I learned the words to every song on the oldies station while riding with my parents. In middle school, I would stay up late, waiting for the right song to come on the radio so I could hit record on my tape player. Throughout high school and college I learned the art of the perfect mix cd. Now, I use that passion to help people have a great time on the happiest day of their lives.

  • My Wedding:

My wife and I spent most of our dating years working at a small theatre in Lanesboro, MN. We were married on that stage. The set was an Italian Villa in the 1920s. We had our theatre friends perform songs and do readings for us. One of them, a playwright, wrote and performed our ceremony. It was everything I could have ever hoped for in a wedding. Most importantly for me, it was a reflection and a celebration of who we were as a couple. A wedding is a day to set the tone for the kind of life and dreams you want for each other. It helps to remind me that my job is to help fulfill that dream, and that what my client wants is and always will be the most important thing on that day. The other thing I learned is weddings can be very stressful. About a week out, I think most couples think, for just a second, "why didn't we elope?!" Breathe, relax, it will all be amazing. Also, chose a close friend to keep family members away on the wedding day, before the ceremony. A bride can only hear "what can I do to help?" so many times before it starts to give her and anxiety attack.

  • Favorite Part About Being a DJ:

I love seeing a packed dance floor of people having the time of their lives. It's a great feeling of being at the top of your game. I also love the first dance because you see two people so in love with each other who know that they made it. The years and months of planning are finished and the stress has lifted. They step out on to the dance floor, and for a few minutes, it's just the two of them, dreaming of the new life they will have together.
