Braemar Golf Course

Braemar Golf Course

Braemar Golf Course is an acclaimed golf course located in Edina, Minnesota, a suburb Minneapolis. Opened in 1964, Braemar has been recognized by Golf Digest as the best public course in Minnesota. In addition to a championship golf course, Braemar Golf Course offers a nine-hole golf course, golf instruction, a driving range, an indoor golf practice dome, and a clubhouse housing a well-equipped pro shop.

The Braemar Golf Course enjoys a long history of exceptional golf on its championship course. In an exciting move, the championship course is undergoing a complete renovation that is scheduled to reopen in August 2018. The new course was designed by  Richard Mandell Golf Architecture and features wider fairways. Importantly, the careful integration of nature within the course enhances the overall playing experience while also being environmentally conscious.

Although the championship course is currently closed, golf enthusiasts can practice their game on the Academy Nine Course. Along with regular public play, the Academy Nine Course hosts numerous charity functions. If desired, golfers at special events play the course twice to complete an 18-hole competition.

This golf establishment is well known for the quality of the golf instruction. For adults, certified PGA instructors offer clinics, group lessons, and private lessons for golfers of all ability levels. Junior golfers are welcome at the Braemar Golf Course. An extensive variety of developmental classes and competitive leagues are available for children.  Juniors can even attend a golf camp under the dome during Winter Break!

All golfers are invited to practice at the driving range. The driving range can host up to 68 golfers at a time and is the largest public driving range in the area. The driving range combines targets, such as bunkers and other obstacles, and practice hitting the fairways.

The Braemar Golf Course has vast experience serving as a venue for weddings, charity events and other special occasions. The Valliere Ballroom seats up to 200 guests. This room is next to a deck that overlooks the championship course. A smaller room, the Harry Cooper Lounge, seats up to 30 guests. Braemar Golf Course works closely with eight local caterers, although the selection of another caterer is an option with permission. Please note that hard liquor is not allowed on the premises. The events coordinator works closely to help make meetings and special occasions enjoyable and stress-free.
