Have you always imagined having your wedding at a European style winery surrounded by acres of vineyard and countryside?  You can turn your wedding dreams into a reality by hosting an event at a working winery set in the lovely natural surroundings of St.  Croix Falls, Wisconsin.  Chateau St. Croix Winery produces award-winning wines from its enchanting vineyards.  The winery hosts a tasting room and an active schedule of events each year.  Fortunately, Chateau St. Croix Winery happily serves as a versatile venue for weddings, group outings, and corporate events.

Chateau St. Croix Winery makes fabulous wines.  Grapes began growing at the winery in 2004 and result in many award-winning wines.  In keeping with its Midwestern environment, the winery focuses on cultivating cold weather grapes.  Currently, six different hybrid cold weather grapes contribute to creating delicious wines at the winery.  Chateau St. Croix Winery is especially proud of its Wisconsin White, La Crescent, winner of an International Wine Competition gold medal in San Francisco.  

Visitors sample wines through regular wine tastings in the European style Chateau.  Visitors are welcome to drop in during regular business hours to savor wines and find fabulous light fare at the on-site deli.  Children are always welcome at the winery.  Dog lovers may explore the grounds with their dog.

Along with the excellent wine and deli food, Chateau St. Croix Winery maintains an active calendar of activities open to the public.  Each month, for example, the work of a local artist is highlighted in the art gallery.  The winery presents a wide selection of concert performances throughout the year.  Of course, wine lovers enjoy special tastings and themed weekends at Chateau St. Croix Winery.

Event planners at the winery will work happily with you to ensure a unique and memorable special event.  Private groups, for instance, often schedule a special behind the scenes tour of the production and barrel rooms in the Chateau followed with wine tasting.

The stunning surroundings at the winery help to create a storybook setting for weddings.  As Wendy H. wrote on a popular wedding planning website, “the venue is gorgeous, so we saved a lot of money by making all of our decorations ourselves – we didn’t need to add much at all because the venue spoke for itself.  All of our guests commented on the beautiful location, and it made our wedding feel like a fairy tale.”

The winery celebrates each wedding as a uniquely personal occasion.  Chateau St. Croix Winery is very experienced at working with outside vendors.  Intimate weddings are hosted all year in the gallery.  Larger weddings, of up to 200 guests, are accommodated on an outdoor patio during the summer months.  The fairy tale quality of the location can be enhanced further through such lovely touches as horse and carriage rides.
