Abundant greenery, nature-inspired canopies, and attention to detail surrounds you at The Gardens of Castle Rock.  Driven by a love of landscaping and designing, The Gardens opened its doors for weddings and events as an offshoot of the Castle Rock Nursery and Garden business that has been in existence since 1926 and is still going today.  Garry C. Switzer runs the third generation family nursery now.

Located in Castle Rock Township, just south of Farmington in Dakota County, The Gardens of Castle Rock is a short 40-minute drive south of St. Paul.  Gorgeous country flair with elegant touches abounds in this sprawling event site which can accommodate up to 300 guests comfortably.  The Gardens can provide space for any event, from weddings and corporate gatherings to great parties.

The Gardens of Castle Rock only book one event per day, so you have the entire day to prepare, get photographs, hold the ceremony, and host the reception all at the same place, giving you time to relax and enjoy your wedding day.  The Gardens boast four different sites for the ceremony, ranging from formal to rustic, and they are all outdoors.  You can choose from formal white pillars with a stone paver center walkway, a quaint latticed pergola under grapevines, a woodland themed area surrounded by trees, or a wide-open space on the lawn with rustic hand-made arbors.

Book your preference of caterers and other vendors needed for your special event, as The Gardens of Castle Rock do not have any in-house.  It is indeed a place where you can make your event your own without the restraints of only using their services.  The event center includes plenty of lawn space for games or gathering, paver patios, a giant natural stone fireplace to keep warm as the sun goes down, a bridal suite, specialty lighting, convenient parking, wireless internet, and portable sound systems.
