Green Acres Event Center

Green Acres is an event center inside a Historic Barn, located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This barn was recently renovated in 2013 and is the oldest standing barn in Eden Prairie. Green Acres has been awarded the “Best of Weddings for 2015, 2016, and 2017” on the Knot.com, “International Special Events 2016 Star Awards”, and the “Friends of Minnesota Barns 2012 Barn of the Year for Best Non-Agricultural Adaptive Re-Use”.

Decorations include crystal and candlelight chandeliers, a fantastic collection of antique jukeboxes, an Italian water fountain, antique player pianos, aged furniture surrounding warm fireplaces, and artwork that will make you and your guests feel as if they are visiting the days of the past.

The Green Acres Event Center, along with Sterling Catering & Events, offers three catering options, giving you the opportunity to choose what suits you best for your special day. An experienced catering team and fantastic menu create an excellent presentation serviced by the sales staff, on-site bartenders, and wait staff.

Testimonials given by past clients include “beautiful venue,” “extremely happy,” “the food was delicious,” and “absolutely blown away.” Many guests of past weddings have mentioned it being “the coolest wedding they have ever been to.”

The outdoor space at Green Acres is ideal for photographs and a great area to spend time during the reception. Your dog is even welcome to come to the reception and roam around to enjoy the celebration with you. Booking with Green Acres includes air conditioning and heating, a Bose sound system, fire pit, and fun art and antiques.

There are more events besides weddings going on at Green Acres. Many people use it for personal activities, company events, and retirement events. There is a lot of room to walk about and mingle inside and outside by the fire. Many clients who book Green Acres wish they could have another event so that they could come back.

For our wedding we had Carlie with Adagio. She was amazing. She checked in with us for when to make announcements and played all of our favorite jams. When the older guests left and it was just our wedding party and close friends left, she saw what got people on the dance floor and what kept them there. She adapted the songs to make sure the party didn't stop. We couldn't have hoped for a better DJ for our special day.

Dj Derick is AMAZING! He was very communicative, attentive, and played GREAT music! He read the room quickly and people never stopped dancing! When he played Party In The USA I don’t think he was prepared for the kind of response he got but he RAN with it. From the first dance to the last dance, it was constant dancing! Perfect selection! He also picked the perfect last dance song because neither my husband or I had thought about it. In all - if you want a lot of dancing and an unbelievably fun time, DJ Derick is your man!

Our DJ Gary was amazing! He was fun, played a great mix of music for everyone to enjoy, and really listened to the details we wanted included for our special day. Gary was so helpful when we came close to losing our pianist due to covid and had a back up plan ready just in case. His experience really showed. All of our guests mentioned how great he was. We used Adagio Djay Entertainment for our wedding this past weekend and our DJ Merlin/the company were nothing short of amazing. This includes the months leading up to the actual event.They replied promptly and quickly every step of the way, their online platform/event planner was entirely helpful for two people that had never planned a wedding before, and most importantly.. the actual event was so professionally ran that I would recommend him/them to any of our close family or friends (We had Merlin and I HIGHLY recommend him. He was a pro’s pro. Knowledgeable, entertaining, professional, and so courteous of everything we were looking for with our wedding day/night. He delivered the perfect experience).Merlin was there early with all equipment, made it all about us, had smooth transitions from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to the dance and really helped keep our day on track!Thank you ADE! DJ Derick was the BEST!We’re not joking when we say everyone was on the dance floor the entire night, and received so many compliments on how fun our dance was! He did a great job at reading the crowd and playing songs for everyone. Great communication, and he was always willing to go with any last minute changes. We had the best reception and it is 100% all thanks to him.

Adagio Djay was the perfect DJ for us. Jay was great to work with leading up to the wedding and made it easy. We landed Gary as our DJ and he was the best. Easy to talk to as well, receptive to our ideas, but also led us in a great direction. He brought professionalism, fun, and creativity to our day and was a tremendous leader. Folks absolutely need to consider Adagio for their DJ services and if they get Gary they will be in GREAT hands!
