Located in historic St. Paul, Minnesota, the James J. Hill Center is a page from the history books. Built-in 1921 in the Italian Renaissance style, in vogue during the latter part of the Progressive Era, the James J. Hill Center is resplendent with massive columns and towering bookshelves that hold some of the greatest reference works of the 20th century. Hosting your event at the James J. Hill Center is like taking a step into a storybook wedding.

The James J. Hill Center offers guests a step back in time while maintaining state of the art technological amenities. Among the amenities included are sound systems, lights, and smart televisions. The Reading Room contains walls lined with bookshelves, all the color from the books and the shelves, as well as the sheer height of the walls, makes for a breathtaking backdrop for your ceremony. The height of the ceilings, along with the towering columns, create a room that is one of a kind for your wedding. The Reading Room can comfortably seat 200 guests. The bridal suite is available for the bridal party to primp and prepare the bride for her grand entrance down the split, curved staircase into the Reading Room. The floors of the Reading Room sparkle and shine, which is maximized by the light flooding into the room from the large, arched windows. The Reading Room is a wonderful place; truly one of a kind!

The James J. Hill Center employs an event manager to help plan your day down to the smallest details.
