Located in the historical and charming White Bear Lake, MN, Kellerman’s Event Center is rich with charm, personality, glamour, and that vintage touch you’re wanting.  From the moment you step into the center, you can feel the history of the building and get a strong sense of its unique personality.

Originally built as a YMCA in 1907 (yes, 1907!) the building has taken on many roles from Events Center, the city’s first movie theater, a furniture factory, and even a dance studio. Finally, in 1979 Terry Kellerman opened AC Upholstery where he worked with his wife and still does to this day. When the opportunity came to buy the building, they jumped at and made their dream of an events center a reality.  Resurrecting the ballrooms interior, back to its glory days, was quite the task- but one the Kellerman’s could handle with pride.  Terry Kellerman even used items found (and forgotten at some point) up in the attic. From shafts, pulleys, belts, bricks, to wood from its days as a wooden mill, the event center finally began to take shape.

You’ll love the original grand staircase that leads you to the main entrance of our 4,000 square foot banquet room. This banquet room has 17 foot exposed fir wood ceilings, hardwood floors, and adorable handcrafted European storefronts. If that wasn’t enough, this venue has 2000 square foot lounge bar area, a private room for the bride, and a courtyard so beautifully landscaped it’s like a scene from The Secret Garden.

The entire event center has been redone to highlight the historic architecture- so you feel like you’ve gone back in time, but with today’s amenities. Your breath will be taken away by the archways, old wood floors that have so much life in them, high ceilings, gorgeous window overlooking the garden, and a deck that looks out over the city of White Bear Lake.
