We all know that planning a wedding or any other kind of big event is a stressful experience.  Now, imagine how it would feel to relax in a rubber inner tube as you serenely float along a lazy river.  That sense of calm is possible at the Metropolis Resort and Conference Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  The resort combines a water park and family fun center with a convenient location approximately ninety minutes from the Twin Cities.

The 107 guestrooms come equipped with free wifi, plasma televisions, refrigerators and microwaves.  In keeping with the family-friendly attitude of the hotel, there are a variety of room arrangements available to meet size needs.  There is even a room called The Locker Room that sleeps twenty.  The fact that admission to Chaos Indoor Waterpark comes with each room is sure to please everyone.

Guests of all ages enjoy splashing around Chaos Indoor Waterpark and making memories at the Action City Trampoline Park and Family Fun Center.  The waterpark offers several slides, a lazy river, and more in an indoor comic themed waterpark. All of the activity leads to hungry families.  There are several family dining choices at the Metropolis.  Pizza lovers feast on freshly made pizza at The Monkey in the Middle.  Diners can grab a burger and a beer at The Pub.  Dairy Queen & Orange Julius satisfy dessert cravings at  Action City.

Perhaps because of its family focus, the Metropolis Resort and Conference Center is a commonly chosen site for meetings, weddings, birthday parties, and family reunions.  An on-site event planner and catering manager work closely with each client to put together a terrific event.

The resort is an unusual wedding venue that is especially attractive when children are part of the wedding festivities.  Couples choose from between two banquet rooms.  The Metro Banquet Room seats 300 guests, and the Skybox Banquet Room seats 250 people.  Both spaces feature wooden dance floors, portable bars, and audiovisual and sound equipment.

The Metropolis Resort and Conference Center is the exclusive caterer.  Couples can choose delicious dishes for plated and buffet-style meals.  In accordance with Wisconsin law, all alcohol must come from the hotel for distribution by a licensed bartender.  The Metropolis is happy to recommend wedding cake bakers.
