Nestled in a forest of beautiful northern pines is the Twin Cities’ newest wedding venue: Pinewood. Dreamed, designed, and lovingly built by a pair of wedding photographers, Pinewood combines an upscale, modern space with a natural setting tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Pinewood sits an hour north of Minneapolis, and the owners lovingly built it with luxury weddings in mind.

The dramatic building’s design brings in the beauty of the natural surroundings with floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors. The windows and doors also allow ample natural light into the building, which ensures that photographers and videographers can capture your special day without complications or extensive, intrusive equipment.

Pinewood has both a beautiful outdoor ceremony area with permanent benches and an indoor ceremony space with vaulted ceilings. These spaces are separate from the reception hall to create a lovely transition and to make sure your vendors can have everything prepared for your grand entrance. The site also has an indoor/outdoor bar that allows service from both sides, a large patio area, outdoor fire pit, and patio heaters.

If you prefer to enjoy nature from the inside, the first floor features a spacious and welcoming gathering area anchored by a fireplace. The two-story glass wall makes the building disappear and helps you feel enveloped by the beautiful pines surrounding the venue.

Brides and grooms will appreciate the design of the “getting ready” suites. Separated by floor to ensure privacy and to prevent accidentally crossing paths before the ceremony, each suite has a kitchenette, private bathroom, a living area, and a dressing room. The upstairs suite has a large makeup counter with enough seating for many people to get ready at the same time. Makeup artists will rave about the large windows and ample natural lighting in these suites.

Pinewood offers many other perks such as year-round climate-control, use of tables and chairs with venue rental, plenty of free parking, handicapped accessibility with an elevator, and oversized bathrooms with elegant fixtures.

Pinewood rentals are all-inclusive. You get the entire building and the 10-acre property for the full day of your event. The venue has a capacity of 225 people and is accepting bookings.
