Welcome to Reeds & Rushes, a stunning wedding and event venue nestled on the shores of Mallard Pass Lake in the picturesque town of Howard Lake, Minnesota.

This venue’s five and a half acre property has been reimagined to provide a memorable experience for your all-day wedding or event. You’ll have plenty of options to choose from, including multiple outdoor gathering areas overlooking the serene lake and our spacious 7,000 square foot building.

Capacity-wise, the Great Hall can accommodate up to 230 guests for a ceremony or seated reception. The Lakeside Grounds are perfect for a seated ceremony or other events with a capacity of 230. The Fireside Hall can hold 70 guests for a seated ceremony, or 230 for a cocktail hour.

Reeds and Rushes offer several amenities to make your event even more special. The Alder Suite features a Full Swing Golf Simulator, a wet bar with a mini fridge, a flatscreen TV, and ample lounge seating, all with keypad-locked entry. The Aspen Suite includes a vanity countertop with mirrors, lighting, and seating, along with a wet bar, lounge seating, private access to the women’s restroom, outdoors, and a keypad-locked entry. The Fireside Hall is a cozy space with a large fireplace and vaulted ceilings, ideal for pre-function events, cocktail hours, or small ceremonies. Additionally, we provide a spacious catering prep area with a private entrance, reserved parking, and easy access for vendors.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:

• The maximum capacity is 238, which includes the couple and the wedding party. At full capacity, the entire Great Hall will be dedicated to dinner table seating, and the venue can help you plan the best seating arrangement.
• Rehearsals are possible and can be confirmed three months prior to your event date if the venue is available. Rehearsals are two hours long and cost $200.
• For accommodation, there are several Airbnb options nearby, and hotels can be found in Delano, Buffalo, and Wayzata. We recommend arranging a room block as soon as you’ve confirmed your date.
• You can enjoy the provided yard games, such as Giant Connect Four and cornhole, and they have spacious patios with seating, a fireplace, and outdoor heaters for your enjoyment.
