Celebrate Minnesota’s farming heritage by hosting your next event at the Rum River Barn and Vineyard!  Located about an hour northwest of the Twin Cities, this historic property exudes a country charm that envelops weddings, family reunions, and other special occasions in vintage elegance.

Norwegian immigrants Sigvart and Helga Selma began farming the land in 1914.  The current owner bought the farm in 2003 and commenced hosting special events at Rum River Barn and Vineyard in 2006.

The site sits on over 400 lush wooded acres that include a working vineyard and captivating creeks.  The rolling hillsides and mature oak and white pine trees lend a sense of calm and natural allure to this venerable Midwestern space.

The White Barn Loft is the center of entertaining at Rum River.  The rustic elegance of this building is a perfect backdrop for receptions, dances, and other gatherings.  Once a hayloft, this room features hardwood floors and soaring ceilings. The separate Frame Barn presents an appealing indoor/outdoor experience that is ideal for informal occasions.

Rum River Barn and Vineyard is happy to work with outside vendors.  They have a list of preferred vendors with whom they’ve worked in the past.  You may also cater your event if desired.  Clients are encouraged to use their imagination in decorating the spaces for their festivities.

Unlike many barn venues, Rum River is open during the Winter.  Imagine hosting an intimate occasion in a cozy barn surrounded by acres of snowy farmland.
