Bowl For Kids’ Sake!

 

This Halloween I had the pleasure to volunteer at the Big Brothers Big Sisters “Bowl For Kids’ Sake” event at the AMF bowling alley in Bloomington.  This event is a fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sister where Bigs and Littles got the opprotunity to spend some time together bowling and raising money for BBBS.

With mascots and superheros for the kids to play with, free pizza and pop, a rock/paper/scissors tournament and our fantastic co-MC’s Danni Starr from 96.3 NOW and Jonathan from the CW Twin Cities.

I provided the music and the microphone for the event and was doing song requests for a $5 donation to Big Brother Big Sister! The kids seemed to have a great time and was a great reminder of why I became a Big Brother in the first place.

All tolled, the event brought in $32,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters, bringing them a huge step closer to their $50,000 goal for 2010. For more information about how you can become a Big Brother or Sister or to make a donation go to BigsTwinCities.org.
