Tips to the Toss: Bouquet Toss

Bouquet Toss

So, you want to have a bouquet??? We think it’s a great idea! In fact, we recommend it for all of our clients! There are a couple of tips you might want to know to help you choose the right song and stay out of “tossing trouble”.

The Bouquet Toss

The first thing we want you to always pay attention for when it comes to your bouquet toss is anything hanging from the ceiling! I know, right? It sounds obvious. We can’t tell you how many times a chandelier, lights some type of decorations have blocked the bouquet in mid-air. The interesting thing is that most brides actually see and notice these obstructions but they assume that when they throw it behind them it will be a lot lower than they realize. In fact, most of the time brides throw the bouquet a lot higher and a lot shorter than they anticipate or try for. This is just one of those things that you learn with the experience of doing hundreds of weddings. Consider our advice, stay away from all ceiling obstructions or you may find your flowers stuck atop a chandelier. The second piece of advice we want to give you is to help you choose the right song for you for this event. To be honest, about 80% or more of the time, the song chosen is “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé. You just can’t go wrong with this song, it fits the bouquet toss very well since your DJ will be inviting out all of the single ladies to the dance floor. However, if you would like to choose something different considers some of these songs:

  1. “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper
  2. “This One’s for the Girls” by Martina McBride
  3. “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” by Shania Twain
  4. “Wanna Be” by Spice Girls
  5. “Lady Marmalade” by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and P!nk
