Tips to the Toss: Garter Toss

Garter Toss

So, you want to have a garter toss??? We think it’s a great idea! In fact, we recommend it for all of our clients! There are a couple of tips you might want to know to help you choose the right song and stay out of “tossing trouble”.

The Garter Toss

There are two very important things to know when it comes to your garter toss. First, if you are playing the garter toss game where you try to take off your wife’s garter with your teeth then we want you to know one thing. When she sits on her chair, have her back face the audience. If she is facing the crowd and you dive into her dress to grab the garter you may also end up showing your audience more than just the garter if you know what we mean. Our advice…don’t embarrass your wife on your wedding night. One more quick tip is that once you get the garter off, f you stretch it and try to shoot it into the group of guys, it actually doesn’t go as far as you’d think. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve seen the groom try to shoot the garter and it falls on the floor halfway between him and the group of guys. Our suggestion, take a few steps closer to the audience before you shoot it out to them. If you are still trying to pick a song for this event, consider some of the following.

  1. “Sexyback” by Justin Timberlake
  2. “Pony” by Ginuwine
  3. “Let’s Get it On” by Marvin Gaye
  4. “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins
  5. “Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen

(PS – If you are doing the garter toss game where you try to grab it off your wife’s leg with your teeth, ask your DJ to play “Mission Impossible Theme Music” for when you attempt to grab it. It’s quite hilarious and your guests will love it!)
